Kansans United for Youth Justice
Kansans United for Youth Justice is speaking up for juvenile justice reforms that will bring real accountability and fair treatment for the kids in our communities.
We know from extensive national research that prisons and out-of-home placements are the most expensive and least effective ways to respond to offenses committed by children.
We need a juvenile justice system based on what works: community programs that rehabilitate kids and get them and their families back on the right path.
It’s time to get serious about investing in effective community programs and to stop sending so many Kansas kids to prisons.
